WHAT DATA BREACH PROCEDURES WE HAVE IN PLACE

The Site is hosted on industry standard servers, and several security measures are established through them for your data protection as well as unique add-ons that ensure the security of data on the Site.

WHAT THIRD PARTIES WE RECEIVE DATA FROM

We receive information from third parties in two ways. First, we receive operational data from service providers who help us run the platform, such as limited payment details from payment processors and identity information for fraud prevention. These providers share only the data necessary to provide their specific service. Second, as described in the Profile Data Enrichment section below, we obtain enrichment data from licensed commercial data providers and publicly available government and regulatory databases to supplement user and expert profiles, subject to your consent. A description of enrichment data categories and sources is provided in the Profile Data Enrichment section of this Policy.

PROFILE DATA ENRICHMENT

Minnect has introduced a profile data enrichment feature that supplements user and expert profiles with information obtained from third-party commercial data providers and publicly available government and regulatory databases. This enrichment is designed to improve expert discovery and matching on the platform. Enrichment data is not sold to third parties and is not used to make eligibility decisions affecting your access to credit, employment, insurance, or housing. Profile data enrichment is currently available only to users located in the United States. Users outside the United States may use all other platform features but will not have their profiles enriched with third-party data and will not appear in enrichment-based audience filter searches.

Profile enrichment occurs only after you have provided affirmative consent through the opt-in process described below. You may use all core platform features without consenting to enrichment.

Your Consent Choices

When you create or update your account, you will be presented with two separate, optional consent controls. Neither is pre-selected.

  • General Profile Matching: Minnect may use information from third-party sources to match you with relevant experts and help the right people find you on the platform. You can change this in Account Settings at any time. → See full data list  ☐ I agree
  • Sensitive Category Matching (optional): Minnect may also use sensitive information , such as estimated financial tier, religious affiliation, ethnicity, and political activity from third-party sources to refine your matches. This is completely optional and declining will not affect your access to any Minnect feature. You can withdraw this consent at any time from Account Settings. → See full data list  ☐ I agree

Categories of Enrichment Data

Subject to your consent and the approved enrichment field list, general enrichment may include data from the following categories: general (name, date of birth, age, address, length of residence), financial, career, education, family and household, and lifestyle and interests. With your separate consent, sensitive category enrichment may also include estimated financial tier, religious affiliation, ethnicity, political affiliation and donation activity, charitable giving behavior, health and wellness interest indicators, and gender identity (where available from third-party sources). A full description of the data categories and sources used is available via the “See full data list” links in the consent controls above.

How Enriched Data Is Used

Enriched profile data is used to improve how you are matched with relevant experts and to determine whether your profile is included in audience filter searches configured by other users. When another user configures a filter search, they see only how many users match their criteria, they do not see your name, profile, or enriched attributes. Your identity is only disclosed to another user if you actively choose to respond to their message. This anonymity protection applies to all users regardless of consent status and is a hard platform requirement.

Data Accuracy and Correction

Enrichment data is matched to your profile using available identifiers including name and location. Matches may occasionally be inaccurate. Minnect cannot guarantee that all third-party enrichment data is complete or accurate. If you believe that inaccurate data has been attributed to your profile, you have the right to request access to and correction of that data by contacting support@minnect.com. We will investigate and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw either enrichment consent at any time through the toggles in Account Settings or by contacting support@minnect.com. Upon withdrawal, Minnect will cease using the relevant enrichment data in your profile and will remove it within the timeframe required by applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect your ability to use any core platform feature.

Existing Users

If you are an existing Minnect user, you will be presented with the enrichment consent controls the next time you log in or access your account settings. No enrichment data will be added to your profile before you have had the opportunity to make your consent choice. If your account is registered outside the United States, enrichment does not apply to your profile and you will not be presented with the enrichment consent controls.

WHAT AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING AND/OR PROFILING WE DO WITH USER DATA

We use automated processes, including data obtained from third-party enrichment sources, to improve expert discovery and to determine which users and experts are included in audience filter searches configured by other users on the platform. These are automated matching processes, they are not used to make decisions about your eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, or housing. When a sender configures an audience filter, they see only the aggregate number of users matching their criteria; they do not see your individual name, profile, or enriched attributes unless you actively choose to respond to their message. If you believe that inaccurate data may be affecting your experience on the platform, you have the right to request access to and correction of data held about you by contacting support@minnect.com.

 LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING DATA

We process the data described herein only when we have a legal basis to do so. Our legal bases include: (i) fulfilling contractual obligations when clients place an order for products or services; or (ii) with consent;  or (iii) compliance with applicable laws and regulations; or (iv) when it is in our legitimate business interest to do so, provided our interests do not override your rights.  Legitimate business interests include preventing fraud, engaging in commerce, communicating with clients, internal analytics and ensuring network information security.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These include the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to that information, to ask that we delete or correct it (subject to legal exceptions), and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. For sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA,  including religious affiliation, ethnicity, estimated financial tier, political affiliation, charitable giving behavior, health and wellness indicators, and gender identity, Minnect obtains your affirmative opt-in consent before collecting or using that data, as described in the Profile Data Enrichment section above.

No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Because of this, we do not display a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

Submitting Requests

You can exercise your California privacy rights by contacting us at support@minnect.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within the time permitted by California law.

Non‑Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES

Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, in our sole discretion. We encourage visitors to check periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Site after any change(s) to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of said change(s).
